TETRA BASALT-M PIN ON DISK

The high precision version of conventional Pin on Disk tests, this machine goes far beyond its competitors.  Designed with efficiency in mind, without a resolution of 1 mN on 10 N (1/10000), with rotating or oscillating motion, an open construction, and high data acquisition rates, this instrument produces friction and wear information on a large variety of materials and contacts. 

Some of our applications included point – line – area contacts in dry or lubricated conditions, on soft materials (sponges or tissues), coatings or hard surfaces.  Static friction, very slow motion mode.  Watch components impact studies.
