TABER ABRASER

First introduced in the 1930's, this instrument was developed to perform mild abrasive wear testing on different materials.  By the use of standardized abrasive wheels, located off-centre over a rotating plate, and by removing the wear particles by a vacuum system, a very repeatable 2-body abrasion is created.

By varying the wheels, mild to more severe mechanisms can be used, depending on the material under investigation.
