PHOENIX 50 STATION CTPOD
The challenge to produce enough statistical wear data in a time efficient manner is solved by parallel testing. This wear generator is inspired by biomaterials testing (UHMWPE for hip implants) and generates the same wear mechanics on 50 individual samples. Lubricated or dry, running flat pins against flat disks, various combinations can be studied.
Typical uses : grease or oil anti-wear properties in slow moving systems, polymer sliding vs. metals, biomaterials, efficient comparison and 50 data points in the same time as a single tribometer test.
