MICROTAP TTT

Microtap’s TTT is an instrumented lab scale tapping torque tester: it drives a tap into standardized plates while logging torque—and optionally ΔT—to quantify cutting friction. Lower mean torque indicates better lubricity.

Fast, repeatable, machining-relevant screening of metalworking fluids and tapping parameters for R&D and QC. Primary uses: rank/optimize coolants or straight oils, assess additive packages, and compare tap geometries/coatings with small sample volumes.
