FALEX PIN & VEE BLOCK

Invented by the founder of Falex in 1927, this test machine is still widely used to evaluate wear, friction, and extreme pressure properties of lubricants and coatings. It creates 4 self-aligining line contacts between a rotating pin and 2 Vee-shaped blocks.  The latest model features an integrated touchscreen computer system for easy operation, calibration, data acquisition and storage. Custom test pieces are available from other materials to better match field conditions.

Adapted methods including recirculation or misting of lubricants of cutting fluids have been correlated with tapping and cutting operations.
